Course Reserves

COURSE RESERVES

The TUC Library keeps items related to course work on reserve in the Library.  To search for items on reserve for a course (you can search by course name/number or instructor name) go to the Course Reserves Guide or Course Reserve Catalog.

WHAT IS ON RESERVE?

The Library purchases and places on reserve one copy of all required textbooks and one copy of all recommended textbooks on the class reading list.  TUC faculty may place additional copies of the required texts on reserve if they feel the item will be in very high demand. Faculty may also place personal copies of texts on reserve if the Library is unable to procure the necessary items.  In addition, faculty may place course readers and collections of articles on reserve for students.

HOW DO I PUT ITEMS ON RESERVE?

Required and recommended texts can be put on reserve by submitting course syllabi or reading lists to the Library.  In order to have these materials available to students for the start of the semester, the Library requests that such lists be submitted to the Library no later than 8 weeks before the start of the class. Personal copies of texts, course readers, and other items not being purchased by the Library, can be brought by the Library or sent through interoffice mail.  Please indicate the course name and number, instructors, and start and end dates of the course for the item being submitted.  Contact the Access Services Librarian with any questions.
