Wellness Resource Guide: SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

INTRODUCTION TO SPIRITUAL WELLNESS

SPIRITUAL WELLNESS RESOURCES

Spiritual wellness can be different things to different people. This section focuses on our relationship to ourselves, our place in and connection to humanity, and how we fit into “the bigger picture”. For some of us the bigger picture is God, for others it’s the Universe or Infinite Wisdom or Source Energy, but for most, whether or not it’s named, it is something bigger than ourselves, bigger than what we see and experience in our daily lives. Through practices of gratitude, compassion, mindfulness, forgiveness, creativity, volunteerism, and more, we can live a life of meaning and purpose according to our values and beliefs, and become a positive, peaceful force in the world we inhabit.

PLEASE NOTE: This section does not attempt to address spirituality in terms of religion or worship. It is intended to be a resource for all people, regardless of faith or religious beliefs, to discover how we are all connected through our humanity, and discover the ways we can find peace and love within and for ourselves, our relationships, and our communities.
