Pharmacy Rotations: Mobile Resources

To access AP Mobile, you must log in using a free personal MyAccess account created at AccessPharmacy. Please note, there is not an app, but the website--https://accesspharmacy.mhmedical.com/--can be viewed in a mobile device, and all content is accessible as it is on a desktop computer. If you have not created this account, please visit the site on a non-mobile browser, then in the upper right corner look for the drop-down menu under the grey box Touro University California Library. Select Login or Create a Free Personal Account and follow the directions. Once your account is created return to the mobile view and use that username and password to access the site.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To create your MyAccess account, you must link to AccessPharmacy from the special link provided on the A-Z Databases page, which will prompt you to login in through OpenAthens. This is essential to be recognized as a TUC affiliate. Then once you've created your MyAccess account from the special link, you can log into it at https://accesspharmacy.mhmedical.com/ on your mobile devices.

No app needed! Specifically designed for mobile access using any mobile device without the need for a separate app, ClinicalKey's mobile interface provides access to all of ClinicalKey content including over 900 books and 500 journals, 1,400 topic pages, patient education sheets, and thousands of videos and millions of images. Available in any web browser on any device.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If asked to "Choose Organization", select 'Touro University California, Touro" option only. DO NOT choose any other option provided, including a "remote access" option. From there, go to the top corner of the Clinical Pharmacology website and register or login.

This app provides mobile access to the content and features of the Clinical Pharmacology electronic drug reference database. In order to access the mobile app, remote access is needed in the Elsevier profile, which will then allow you to access the website or app from off campus. To request remote access, link to Clinical Pharmacology from the above link, or from the A-Z Databases page, to authenticate yourself as a TUC affiliate through OpenAthens. Once you are logged in, go to the top right corner again and select "Remote Access". Follow the prompts to request remote access. Once you have remote access, you can sign into the app.

To get the app, search Google Play (For android users) or App Store (For apple users) the "Clinical Pharmacology".

Unfortunately, the Library's subscription doesn't include Lexicomp On-Hand for students. However, there is a discounted rate for the app for TUC students. The app is downloadable so you can use it offline. For more information, go to Lexicomp and look for the box that says “Academic Discount Program.”

From your device go to the Micromedex website and click on Mobile Application Access on the top right hand side of the page, then scroll all the way to the button of that page and select Micromedex Native Mobile Apps. Follow the directions corresponding to your device type. There are iPhone/iPad and Android apps for Micromedex Drug Reference and for Drug Interactions.

PLEASE NOTE: Micromedex Mobile and the Drug Interactions app will require you to update your password on an annual basis. There will be a message when you access the app, letting you know it's time to update.

If you already have a login from Natural Medicines or Prescriber's Letter, you don't need to create a new one. If not, ​from on campus, go to the Natural Medicines website. On the home page, in the upper right corner, you’ll see a box that says Get Your Login ID. Click on this link, fill out the forms, and submit. Once you have your login information you can use it to access the app. Make sure to download the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database (not the Consumer Edition!) from your app store and login with the credentials you created.

If you already have a login from Natural Medicines or Prescriber's Letter, you don't need to create a new one. If not, go to Prescriber's Letter website from on campus. On the home page, in the upper right corner, you’ll see a box that says Create Personal Account. Click on this link, fill out the forms, and submit. Once you have your login information you can use it to access the mobile app. Download the Prescriber's Letter app from your app store and login with the credentials you created.

Registration and Access Instructions

All students and faculty have access to Sanford Guide content online and via mobile app.

1. Web Access from any computer on-site by visiting webedition.sanfordguide.com
2. Register for mobile access to the Sanford Guide app. This can be done on-site, or off-site by signing into OpenAthens, by visiting register.sanfordguide.com
3. Finish app registration process online and follow activation instructions
4. Use your registration credentials to sign-in on the mobile app

UpToDate automatically optimizes for your device after you have completed the initial registration process within the TUC network. You can also have access to the UpToDate mobile app for free. The mobile app will recognize that you are affiliated with Touro University California and complete the verification process. Simply download the app and then login with your UTD account credentials.

PLEASE NOTE: Your UpToDate account will expire after 90 days of inactivity. If this occurs, simply login to from campus or from the Library's website. This will re-authenticate you as a TUC student or faculty member and reactivate your account. To access VisualDX in the mobile app, go to the VisualDX website by following the link above, and create a personal account. The link to create a personal account is along bottom of page, just below the Quick Start Differential Builder. Once you have a personal account you can sign into the mobile app with your personal VisualDX login credential for complete access.
